Easter Egg Hunt Just For Adults

Easter Egg Hunt for adults

A few days ago, a picture with an idea of an Easter egg hunt for adults popped up on my social media feed (see photo above). “I could seriously use some of that with the day I’ve had,” I thought

Seriously, who says that grown-ups have to stop having fun? When it comes to adults and Easter to spice things up, you can involve alcohol and if so, do hunt responsibly.

You could do an Easter egg hunt as a family or with your friends.  In fact, a girlfriend of mine participates in an annual family Easter egg hunt and it sounds like it’s a lot of fun.

Here are some ideas to consider:

Hide eggs for parents too 🙂

Instead of hiding eggs for the kids, do it both ways. Designate two hiding areas. You hide eggs for the children in one area and they hide eggs (with for example Jell-O shots in them) for you in another area. You’d be surprised at children’s creativity for hiding spaces!

Scavenger hunt across the city.

It may take more planning ahead but could be lots of fun. Instead of placing all the burden on a host, have your participating friends pool in a few dollars for an “egg-extravagant” trophy basket. You can fill it with items that would appeal to the group. Or you could ask each person to bring a treat to contribute to the basket within a certain cost range. Then split the group into 2 teams.  Each team will be responsible for writing clues for the other team and hiding the eggs.  You can do a certain number of clues and designate a color for the opposite team.  For example, team 1 is blue eggs, team 2 is purple eggs.  Start the hunt from “home base” (wherever the basket is) and pass each other the first clue. The first team to make it back “home” with all their eggs or within a certain time limit wins the basket. (As a side note, you might have to set a perimeter for locations to hide eggs as people are writing their clues, just to keep things fair and fun).

Selfie scavenger hunt.

This idea comes from Romper and I think it could be totally fun if you have friends who enjoy taking pictures and having a good laugh.  You could print this checklist from Life with Heidi :

You could put the slips into Easter eggs or place them into a bowl and each team picks for example five. As everyone collects their tasks, have them share the photos to an agreed social media platform using a designated hashtag. It’ll definitely be something to talk about the next time you gather.

Have an egg-straordinary Easter
