As a follow up to the previous post 10 Benefits of Play Dough I have decided to share with you the play dough recipe I like the most.
There are quite a few different recipes that I have tried over time but this is the one that chooses over others. I learned it from a preschool program that my youngest goes to. I really like the texture. If you already have one that you like, keep using it but if you are looking for something different, how about giving this one a knead?
Play Dough Recipe
Ingredients:
1 tbsp cream of tartar
1 cup flour
1/4 cup salt
2 tbsp oil
1 cup room temperature/warm water
Directions: Just mix. Add flour as needed if the dough is too sticky.
To give the dough more interest you can:
- incorporate food coloring to make colors
- add herbs and spices for the smell
- put in glitter or other textural items.
May you always find the knead for play dough 😊
