Superbowl Your Party!
The Golden anniversary of the Super Bowl this year is bringing on one field Carolina Panthers and Denver Broncos. Kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, February 6th, at 6:30 PM ET on CBS, but it’s safe to add another five minutes of ceremonial buffer time.
Interesting Facts:
- CBS set the base rate for a 30-second advertisement at $5,000,000, a record-high price for a Super Bowl ad.
- In late November 2015, reports surfaced stating that “multiple acts” would perform during the halftime show. On December 3, the league confirmed that the show would be headlined by the British rock group Coldplay. On January 7, 2016, Pepsi confirmed to the Associated Press that Beyoncé, who headlined the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show and is collaborating with Coldplay on the single “Hymn for the Weekend,” is expected to make an appearance. Bruno Mars, who headlined the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show, will also be performing.
Prep for the party
