MiniOwls Pays It Forward: Moms Supporting Moms
MiniOwls is not just any company, it is one with heart. The company makes every effort to touch the lives of many from delivering products that help their customers create beautifully organized spaces, to giving back to the community. MiniOwls supports a number of non-profit organizations, one of which is Hannah’s House.
Originally named Mother Care Home was renamed in 1995 the name Hannah House. Hannah is symbolizing a person in the Bible who greatly desired to be a mother. Hannah’s House is a maternity home that provides a safe living environment, programming, and support for young pregnant and parenting women and their children. They provide services and support 365 days a year. Their programming provides educational support, and life skills training that attends to the needs of women as they transition from adolescence to adulthood and become a mom.
At any given time, the home can support 7 women and their young (born/unborn). Over the course of one year, 25 to 30 women will have passed through their doors. For more information, please visit http://maternityhomewithaheart.org
This is the Tree of Life at Hannah’s House. Each time a child is born, the mother places a leaf on its ever-growing branches. This year is the 25th anniversary of Hannah’s House. It’s amazing to see how many children they supported during this time! Happy Anniversary!
How MiniOwls Gives Back
Being a mom is challenging enough and when you have limited resources, the journey can be that much more difficult. For this reason, MiniOwls try as much as they can by providing in-kind resources: toy hammocks, chains, and other useful tools for moms and their children.
To date, they have provided $2769.50 in products – not a small feat at all and super amazing!
More recently, Superbkitchen dough blenders were provided by MiniOwls moms to Hannah’s House and this is what their Executive Director had to say:
“The dough blenders arrived this week … Those are really nice – thanks for thinking of us. We are going to show residents how to make pie dough from scratch, which is something of a lost art these days. Thank you for blessing our moms, babies, and children with your donations. “MiniOwls is proud to be supporting such a meaningful organization and with the help of their customers, one purchase at a time, working towards making the world a better place.
